A stunning barn conversion, beautifully decorated, in the heart of a country estate on the outskirts of Long Marston, 7 miles from York and 16 miles from Harrogate.

Newly renovated with a large open plan living area containing huge kitchen/dining room with large floor to ceiling windows and steps up to sitting room with large comfy sofas, bar, wood burner, 50″ Smart TV, Sonos music system and Playstation. The first floor has 5 bedrooms all with bathrooms ensuite sleeping up to 12 guests.

The large open plan living has stone floors with underfloor heating and floor to ceiling windows allowing light to flood in. The sleek kitchen with granite work tops and island, range oven and American fridge/freezer is superbly fitted and the spacious dining area with large oak dining table provides seating for everyone making it a very special place for entertaining.  There is underfloor heating throughout the ground floor which is eco friendly with an air source heat pump.

Two stone steps lead up into the large open plan sitting room with a bar area for mixing cocktails, wood burner, large comfortable sofas and 50″ Smart TV with playstation. Again floor to ceiling windows with access to both the front enclosed garden and the enclosed beautifully designed courtyard with seating area and subtle lighting for that evening drink or bbq.

On the first floor all 5 bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. The 5th bedroom has 4 single adult size single beds with its own large ensuite bathroom with freestanding roll top bath and shower.

At the front of The Granary is an enclosed garden with far reaching views across the Vale of York and a hot tub can be hired from a local company.

There is lots of parking available.

York train station is 7 miles away with direct train service to the north and south.

FLIGHTS:

Leeds Bradford airport.

ROAD:

Close to the A64 and A1.

NEARBY PUBS:

The Tickled Trout which is a 2.5 miles drive and is very popular. The Alice Hawthorne in the nearby charming village of Nun Monkton is also an excellent place to eat.

Amazing house, very comfortable and stunning surroundings. 25+/- min drive to York. Taxi drivers were happy to do journeys to and from the house.

12 of us stayed at The Granary for 3 nights for a weekend and we had an amazing time. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. We would 100% book to stay here again.

Amazing stay. Everyone was blown away with the house and the surroundings. The pictures don’t do it enough justice, it was amazing! Loved looking at the book showing the history and how the house was built.

This house blew us away. It is just the most beautiful, beautiful house. The photos don’t do it justice at all. We booked the house out for a girls weekend and it was just prefect. Hot tub was heated ready for arrival. Easy check in. Gorgeous rooms. Views are incredible. Loved the court yard!! Our taxi into York was £22 each way, 20 minutes. Will 100% return and have the best memories from the trip. Thanks so much xx

Fabulous trip, a great property within easy reach of good local pubs by foot / car and York by taxi. Would highly recommend for groups – private, clean and unique. Bar area worked wonderfully for fizzy Friday! Locally I would particularly recommend the Tickled Trout for Sunday lunch and a pint. Would certainly return.

This is a fantastic base for visits to York, Harrogate and many beautiful attractions. As it is surrounded by fields and calming views, The Granary was also a place to just stay home / chilll out and enjoy the comforts of such a well-appointed stay. Fabulous outside courtyard which we used whenever the weather allowed. As a large family party we really enjoyed the spacious and stylish communal areas – as well as the privacy of every bedroom having en-suite. Great place!

This is an amazing house – book it! Really well appointed throughout, the kitchen has everything you could want, really comfy bedrooms, generously sized bathrooms, and loads of communal space. Good communication and helpful hosts too. I’m sure we’ll be back one day.

Such an amazing place to stay! We didn’t want to leave 🙂 Everything is top spec and there’s great attention to detail throughout. The kitchen has everything you need, there’s an incredible entertaining space and the bedrooms all with ensuites are so luxurious 🙂 I can’t recommend this house enough!! We definitely will be back in the future!
