• The house is next door to two other holiday properties, The Granary and The Farmhouse, sleeping a total of 28 if all 3 houses are hired
• Additional house 5 mins away, The Stables sleeping 18
• There is a large courtyard at the back of the house which is not available for guests unless renting The Granary also
• Logs are supplied for log burner
• Pets – 2 dogs allowed £40 per dog per stay
• Bed formation can’t be changed

Lovely place to stay! Very peaceful and just as described. Perfect place for what we were looking for!

Fantastic stay at the Dovecote Barn, very well equipped accommodation from utensils, pans and even the little things like dish soap and kitchen/toilet rolls.. these things really make that little difference. Very comfortable stay and hot tub was great too but most of all the surrounding views were just so beautiful and tranquil.

Absolutely fantastic property done to a very high standard, everything you could possibly want. Peaceful and tranquil. The cakes & Prosecco waiting for our arrival was a really nice touch too and were enjoyed by all. Would definitely recommend The booking process was great, any queries were responded to by the team quickly, very efficient service!

Yorkshire Escapes came to our rescue and managed to find accommodation for our large party in literally a few hours notice. The Dove House (and The Barn) were exceptional places, comfortable, spacious, well furnished and a real refuge in the face of storms Dudley and Eunice. I’d give six stars if I could!

8 of us stayed at Dovecote Farm over a long weekend in July. The accommodation was really stunning, everything was decorated to a high standard and we loved relaxing in the massive kitchen/lounge area. We paid for the use of the hot tub and it was the perfect place to chill and look out over the scenery in a secluded spot in York. Would definitely recommend and may even be back next year to hire all of the available farmhouses out! Worth noting we couldn’t hear anything from the other accommodation on site, our garden felt very secluded and private.

We stayed at The Dove House and we had a great experience. Welcomed with chilled fizz and sweet treats on arrival. The house has lots of social space for the family, the large garden/hot tub including the BBQ area was a success for the family gatherings. The whole house had great amenities and a location information booklet on what we could do locally. I would highly recommend staying here for all occasions. The host is a great support too! We will be booking again in the future!

Beautiful property inside and out in a beautiful location, great for a family get away with some really nice dog walks right on the doorstep, very handy for trips into nearby York which is only 20 minutes in the car.

Absolutely stunning place. We enjoyed a lovely girls weekend here, the photos matched the place perfectly and was exceptionally clean. Would highly recommend.
