SLEEP

Sleep soundly in the four beautifully decorated double bedrooms. With two ensuite rooms overlooking the large garden, and two twin bedrooms sharing a family bathroom with both a shower and bath, there’s plenty of space for up to 8 guests. The Farmhouse is ideally located for exploring some of Yorkshire’s most iconic attractions, including Castle Howard, Harewood House, Scampston Hall, Fountains Abbey, and Newby Hall & Gardens. For a family-friendly adventure, Stockeld Adventure Park is just 20 minutes away, featuring a climbing area, ski simulators, a skate park, and indoor play areas. The surrounding farmland offers scenic walks and cycling routes, and with plenty of parking, you can explore with ease.

• There is a large courtyard between at the back of the house which is not available for guests unless renting The Granary also
• Logs are supplied for the log burner
• Pets – 2 dogs allowed £40 per dog per stay
• Bed formation can’t be changed

GROUND FLOOR

The Entrance Hall leads into a large open plan living area with kitchen and dining area with stone floors.  The kitchen has a central island with granite worktops,  range oven and fridge/freezer.

There is a spacious dining area with dining table and chairs, log burner and comfy seating and door leading out to the large garden with paved area and outdoor dining table, chairs and charcoal bbq.

There is access from the Kitchen to a Utility room.

The cosy Sitting room with large comfy sofas, smart tv and log burner is accessed from the entrance hall and the kitchen with windows overlooking the large garden.

The downstairs cloakroom is off the entrance hall.

FIRST FLOOR

Upstairs there are 4  double bedrooms sleeping 8 guests; 2 double bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms overlooking the large garden, and 2 twin bedrooms which share a family bathroom with shower and bath.

The Farmhouse is located 7 miles from York, 7 miles from Wetherby, 16 miles from Harrogate and 27 miles from Leeds close to the A64 and A1 in The Vale of York with easy access to The Yorkshire Dales and The North York Moors.

The Farmhouse is within easy reach of Castle Howard, Harewood House, Scampston Hall and Gardens, Fountains Abbey and Newby Hall and Gardens

The house is set in 3000 acres of farmland with beautiful private walks for guests to access and great cycle routes. There is lots of parking available at the house.

The Tickled Trout which is a 2.5 miles drive and is very popular. The Alice Hawthorne in nearby Nun Monkton offers fine dining.
Stockeld Adventure Park is within 20 mins drive with indoor play centre offering a climbing area, a skate park, ski simulators, a playground & an eatery.

York train station is 7 miles away with direct train service to the north and south.

7 miles from York and 16 miles from Harrogate.

We had a fantastic weekend, lovely house in a great setting. The place was very clean and well maintained.

Fantastic location Comfy beds Perfect for a family weekend away. Lovely touches with the Prosecco and fruit juice.

A wonderful stay! Perfect setting and the house was fabulous-very clean and finished to a high standard. Two bottles of prosecco in the fridge on our arrival was a lovely welcoming. Definitely would recommend a stay here, perfect for friends or families.

Had a lovely break with another family at The Farmhouse. Check in was very easy, opened the door to a lovely spacious house; lovely and clean and tidy with all you need for your stay. Tiny issue getting the Sonos speaker working which was sorted straight away for us. Was a great base for our day trips out. A winter trip may be in order with the fire on
