The Vicarage, Near Helmsley, North York Moors

The Vicarage is a stunning newly-refurbished six-bedroom holiday house near Helmsley in the North Yorkshire Moors. Featuring traditional decor throughout, you and your guests can guarantee a cosy stay here with access to fantastic walks, cycle routes and cultural landmarks. 

EAT

The handmade kitchen has an electric AGA, a separate oven and a hob to make home cooking easy to prepare for your group. Within the kitchen, there is also an informal space with seating for your group to enjoy casual meals together. There is also a separate dining room next to the kitchen which can be used for dinner and celebrations. Glass double doors lead through to the conservatory with comfy seating and patio doors leading to the terrace and garden with a BBQ, chimneys and an outdoor table and chairs for twelve. The Vicarage is also within walking distance of The Feversham Arms where you can enjoy a special brunch, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea. 

SLEEP 

The property features five double en-suite bedrooms sleeping ten adults and a bunk room which has full-sized bunk beds which can sleep another two guests. There are two ground-floor bedrooms both with their own bathrooms and separate utility room and downstairs cloakroom. The first floor has three double bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms. Bedroom 4 is a bunk bedroom with a cloakroom and will share one of the bathrooms. The bedding is a luxurious 600-count Egyptian cotton, and bath robes are provided, together with bath sheets and hand towels.

RELAX 

If it’s rest and rejuvenation you’re craving then The Vicarage will not disappoint! With gorgeous sunsets and plenty of wildlife to watch, this is a nature-lovers dream retreat. The house has stunning views down the dale and a large garden complete with a stream at the bottom. The sitting room is a great place to chill when you need some downtime and features large comfy sofas, a log burner and a smart TV. The underfloor heating ensures everyone feels snug even on the coldest of days.

The house is located in the heart of the North York Moors National Park in North Yorkshire with The Feversham Arms Inn within walking distance and a village shop in the next-door village. The closest towns are Kirkbymoorside, Helmsley and Pickering. The house is 25 miles away from Whitby and 30 miles from Robin Hood’s Bay if you want to explore the great East Yorkshire coast.

GROUND FLOOR

The Entrance Hall leads through to the Sitting room, Dining room and Kitchen/Dining area. The staircase leads from the back of the entrance hall up to the first floor.

There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, Bedroom 5 and 6 with ensuite bathrooms plus a separate cloakroom and utility room.

FIRST FLOOR

On the First floor there are three double bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms and Bedroom 4 with bunk beds and separate cloakroom. This bedroom shares a bathroom with an ensuite bathroom upstairs or the bathroom downstairs.

We had the most wonderful long weekend staying at the Old Vicarage. The house is stunning and was completely kitted out to the finest standard with every small detail. A magical place for a cosy getaway!
