The Great Knaresborough Bed Race

It’s one of the quirkiest and most beloved events in Yorkshire – The Great Knaresborough Bed Race is back on Saturday 14th June! Part fancy dress parade, part gruelling race through the historic town, join the teams as they race across rivers, up hills, and through crowds – all while pushing a creatively decorated bed on wheels!
The event draws thousands of spectators from all over the country and literally transforms Knaresborough into a giant, joyful street party.The costumes are hilarious, the atmosphere is electric, and the sense of community is heartwarming. Don’t miss out on the fun this year!

Art lovers and interior enthusiasts rejoice – The North Yorkshire Open Studios event is coming again soon!
From Whitby to Skipton, and everywhere in between, this relaxed, inspiring event opens the doors of over 100 working Yorkshire-based artists. You’ll be able to visit painters, potters, printmakers, photographers, and sculptors in their own creative spaces as they invite you to explore their places of work and their latest creations.
This is a really rare opportunity to explore Yorkshire’s vibrant arts scene, meet artists, and purchase original work directly from the studio.

The Flamborough Cliffs are one of the best places in the UK to see puffins in the wild, and June is the peak sighting season, so bring your binoculars and enjoy a day immersed in nature and conservation.
This family-friendly event offers guided walks, birdwatching opportunities, talks by wildlife experts, and creative workshops to get stuck into.
