The Moorhouse is a fabulous large holiday home for up to 18 guests. Located in a tranquil spot within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Beauty, it offers panoramic views of the moors and is perfect for groups of walkers and hikers, as well as hosting big family celebrations.

EAT

The Moorhouse provides spacious areas to eat and entertain with your entire group. The large dining room seats all 18 guests, making it perfect for shared meals and special dinners. The house has two kitchens, the first being a newly built kitchen with island and picture frame window with stunning views across Nidderdale. The second kitchen is an open-plan kitchen/cinema room with large U shaped sofa and wall mounted television with further seating, including more sofas and a dining area for 8. The garden features a large lawn, terrace with outdoor seating for 18 and a gas BBQ that you can utilise during your stay for alfresco feasts.

SLEEP

There are nine spacious double bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom. This ensures a luxurious and private stay for every guest. Each room has been thoughtfully designed with comfort and great sleep in mind and ensures everyone in your group can enjoy a restful stay after a day exploring the Yorkshire countryside.

RELAX

One of the things that makes The Moorhouse so special is its unique layout. Originally two neighbouring homes, the property has been thoughtfully opened up to create one expansive retreat for up to 18 guests,  offering all the joy of staying together, with plenty of space to spread out. With two separate living rooms, guests can come together for long dinners, celebrations and movie nights, before retreating to quieter corners for a morning coffee, a good book, or a cosy evening with just a few favourite people. French doors lead from the main living room to a terrace with outdoor sofas and hot tub with views stretching across Nidderdale.

Nestled in the picturesque Dallowgill in Nidderdale, The Moorhouse is a mere 10 miles from Ripon and conveniently close to Pateley Bridge, renowned for it’s charming country pubs, scenic hiking trails, and celebrated cycle routes. Just a 20-minute drive away, Harrogate awaits, offering a delightful day out with it’s stunning gardens, vibrant shops, and excellent restaurants. Whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation, this location has it all.

GROUND FLOOR

Guests enter through the front door into the hallway with staircase leading to the first floor.

The Sitting room leads off the hallway with french doors leading out to terrance with hot tub and comfy seating.

The Sitting room leads through to a double bedroom with ensuite.

Another double bedroom and bathroom ensuite lead off the hallway on the ground floor.

Next door to this is the boot room, perfect space for dogs.

The dining room leads off the hallway and seats 18 guests. The main kitchen is next door to the dining room with island and large picture window leading to a utility room and back door.

Through the other side of the dining room guests enter the hallway with 2 cloakrooms. This leads through to the other side of the house with the second kitchen/cinema room with large comfy seating and dining.

FIRST FLOOR

There are two staircases in the house one leading up to 4 double bedrooms with ensuites. (3 of these bedrooms can be made up as superkings or twins, please request on booking. Default will be 3 superkings).

The other staircase from the front hall leads up to 3 double double bedrooms with ensuites. (these bedrooms are all kings).

GARDEN

The main garden has a large lawn and terrace with outdoor dining for 18 guests and gas bbq.

The terrace on the other side of the house leading from the sitting room has comfy seating and a hot tub.

Please note the garden is not enclosed.

By Car

Kirkby Malzeard is just 3 miles away, while Pateley Bridge is a 10-minute drive and offers a good range of shops and facilities.
The cathedral city of Ripon is approximately 10 miles away.

By Train

The nearest railway station is Harrogate, which is around a 20-minute drive from The Moorhouse. Taxis are usually available at the station.

By Air

The nearest airport is Leeds Bradford Airport, which is approximately a 45-minute drive away. Taxis and car hire are available at the airport.
