The Den, Leyburn

The Den is a newly refurbished one bedroomed apartment within the Coach House set behind the main house at Eastfield Lodge.

It is perfect for a single guest 0r a couple with a double bedroom, ensuite bathroom with a shower and heated towel rail. There is a modern, well equipped kitchen, dining room and living area. The further sofa bed in the living room is ideal for 1 adult or even 2 small children sharing.

• The Den Access is via an external flight of stone and wooden steps.
• Dogs are welcome in The Den at £15 per dog per night by arrangement
• There is sofa bed that can be used for 1 additional adult or 2 children if they are under 6/7 yrs old. There is an additional cost of £35.00 per person per night.
• There is 1 super king size beds that can be split into singles. PLEASE REQUEST ON BOOKING BED FORMATIONS
• You can also book The Holt (sleeping 2 + a sofa bed)
• Dogs are welcome at £15 per dog per night by prior arrangement.
• Dogs are not permitted in the Bedroom or on furniture. Thank you for your co-operation and understanding.
• Sorry no Hen or Stag parties are allowed.
• EV Charger available but this is shared with the main house.
• Eastfield Lodge, sleeping 16 can also be booked alongside the smaller apartments to sleep 20. Please enquire for more information.

FIRST FLOOR

There are external steps leading from the car park to the first floor entrance door to The Den.

Guests enter into the open plan sitting room/kitchen with sofa bed and television. There is a double bedroom and shower room ensuite.

Leyburn town centre is a 5 minute walk to the house with traditional shops, pubs and cafes all gathered around a market square. There is also Tennants in Leyburn, a big auction house which is definitely worth a trip to. Richmond, another historic town, is also within easy reach. Other local attractions are Aysgarth Falls, Bolton Castle, Swinton Castle and Spa. There are wonderful walks and cycle rides surrounding East Witton which is on the Tour de Yorkshire route.

Further down the dale is Middleham, another of Yorkshire’s lovely villages. Famous for it’s Castle (once the home of Richard III) it is also the home to several race horse trainers and you can watch the horses go through the village and up to the gallops every day. There is also a lovely selection of pubs, a tea room and village store. A few miles up the road from Middleham is The Forbidden Corner a wonderful family attraction with The Saddle Room restaurant serving delicious food and wine.

Both train stations are on the direct main line from London and the train takes around 2.5 hours from Kings Cross Station.
