Eastfield’s modern kitchen is perfect for preparing food for your group, while the airy dining room combines two large tables to fit all 16 guests in one space. You’re also well placed to make good use of the nearby tearooms, pubs bistros and fish and chip shops in Leyburn when you feel like eating out.Â
The property’s 8 bedrooms are plotted over the first and second floors with elegant, neutral interior design in each. The bedrooms at the front of the lodge offer stunning views across the Dales, and each bedroom comes with an ensuite. There are four super king-size beds, which can also be split into singles, three kingsize beds and a standard double bed. One room can accommodate four single beds. You can also book The Den and The Holt for an additional fee – bringing the total capacity up to 20 people.Â
When you enter the house, you’re greeted by a large hallway with a staircase leading to the first floor. There’s a large sitting room, a bar room, a dining room and a kitchen on the ground floor. All the social spaces are immaculately presented with soft, neutral decor throughout. There’s also relaxed seating outside on the patio, which is perfect for morning coffee or sundowners after a busy day in the Dales. Dogs are welcome at Eastfield for an additional cost and hot tub hire can also be arranged when you contact us in advance.Â
Leyburn town centre is a 5-minute walk to the house with traditional shops, pubs and cafes all gathered around a market square. There is also Tennants in Leyburn, a big auction house which is definitely worth a trip to. Other local attractions are Aysgarth Falls, Bolton Castle, Swinton Castle and Spa. There are wonderful walks and cycle rides surrounding East Witton which is on the Tour de Yorkshire route. Further down the dale is Middleham, another of Yorkshire’s lovely villages. Famous for its Castle (once the home of Richard III) it is also the home to several racehorse trainers and you can watch the horses go through the village and up to the gallops every day. There is also a lovely selection of pubs, a tea room and a village store. A few miles up the road from Middleham is The Forbidden Corner a wonderful family attraction with The Saddle Room restaurant serving delicious food and wine.

Recently refurbished, an absolutely beautiful place to stay while retaining a welcoming, homely feel. We were a family group of 12 adults and 5 children. There was ample space to be together or apart and the soundproofing in the bedrooms was 100%, not a baby’s cry was heard in the night. We were self catering and enjoyed using the palatial, well equipped kitchen.
The views from the house are stunning and there are a huge range of activities available.
