EAT

The heart of Wellgarth is the bright spacious open-plan kitchen with its large dining table for relaxed social entertaining. There is also a formal dining room for special occasions or private dining experiences. There are also two pubs in the village of Leven and plenty of restaurants in the nearby historic market town of Beverley.

SLEEP

The seven beautifully presented bedrooms, offer a mix of king-size and twin bed setups. Most bedrooms come with their own en-suite shower rooms, while some enjoy the indulgence of roll-top baths and dressing areas. The ground-floor king bedroom provides easy access and an en-suite, while the master bedroom on the first-floor boasts a king-size sleigh bed and a beautiful freestanding bath within the spacious main room. Two travel cots and highchairs are provided for little ones if required.

Take your pick from two peaceful sitting rooms – one featuring a cosy wood-burning stove to curl up with a book or enjoy quality family time, and a quieter room for reading or catching up on work during an extended stay. Nestled on the edge of Leven and next to a working farm, Wellgarth House is in a great location for exploring East Yorkshire’s stunning countryside. Walking and cycling routes are plentiful here, including the Trans Pennine Trail. The nearby coastal town of Hornsea offers Victorian seaside charm, boating on Hornsea Mere, and lots of family-friendly attractions. History enthusiasts can visit Bettison Folly, the Elizabethan Constable Hall, or explore the medieval streets and gothic Minster in the nearby market town of Beverley. After a day of adventure, return back for an evening of comfort and togetherness.
