EAT

At the heart of Moorhouse is a spacious and sociable kitchen and dining area that is designed for group living. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering stays, with generous preparation space for everyone to cook together. The dining area comfortably seats all 10 guests, making it ideal for shared breakfasts, family dinners, and long, relaxed evenings after days exploring the countryside.

French doors open out to the terrace, where outdoor seating and a BBQ provide the perfect setting for alfresco meals with uninterrupted views across Nidderdale.

SLEEP

The Moorhouse offers five comfortable double bedrooms, thoughtfully designed to accommodate families or groups sharing. Each room provides a calm and restful space to unwind after a day outdoors, with quality furnishings and a peaceful countryside feel throughout.

The layout works particularly well for two families, offering a balanced mix of shared spaces and private rooms for downtime.

RELAX

The living space is warm, welcoming, and designed for spending time together. A spacious lounge provides room for everyone to gather, whether for film nights, board games, or quiet evenings after busy days exploring the Yorkshire countryside.

Large windows and doors connect the indoors with the surrounding landscape, bringing in natural light and far-reaching views. Outside, the terrace and garden offer additional space to relax, dine, or simply enjoy the fresh air and scenery.

EXPLORE

Located in Dallowgill in Nidderdale, The Moorhouse is just a short drive from Ripon and close to Pateley Bridge, known for its traditional pubs, scenic walking routes, and cycling trails. Harrogate is around 20 minutes away, offering beautiful gardens, boutique shopping, and excellent dining options for a great day out.

From gentle countryside walks to more adventurous outdoor activities, this location is ideal for families wanting to explore one of Yorkshire’s most beautiful regions together.

GROUND FLOOR

Guests enter through the front door into the hallway with staircase leading to first floor.

The Sitting room leads off the hallway with french doors leading out to terrance with hot tub and comfy seating.

The Sitting room leads through to a double bedroom with ensuite.

Another double bedroom and bathroom ensuite lead off the hallway on the ground floor.

Next door to this is the boot room, perfect space for dogs.

The dining room leads off the hallway and seats 18 guests. The main kitchen is next door to the dining room with island and large picture window leading to a utility room and back door.

 

FIRST FLOOR

The staircase from the front door leads up to 3 double double bedrooms with ensuites. (these bedrooms are all kings).

GARDEN

The garden to this property is shared with the neighbouring house.

The main garden has a large lawn and terrace with outdoor dining and bbq.

The terrace on the other side of the house leading from the sitting room has comfy seating and a hot tub.

Please note the garden is not enclosed.

By Car

Kirkby Malzeard is just 3 miles away, while Pateley Bridge is a 10-minute drive and offers a good range of shops and facilities.
The cathedral city of Ripon is approximately 10 miles away.

By Train

The nearest railway station is Harrogate, which is around a 20-minute drive from The Moorhouse. Taxis are usually available at the station.

By Air

The nearest airport is Leeds Bradford Airport, which is approximately a 45-minute drive away. Taxis and car hire are available at the airport.

  • Pets – 2 dogs allowed £40 per dog per stay
  • No dogs on furniture or upstairs and please clean up after your dogs. Thank you

  • There is CCTV on the outside of the house
  • Please Note: guests must never charge their car using a standard outdoor plug or an extension cable linking to the house domestic plugs.
