The Grand is a luxurious, dog-friendly, country cottage located on the stunning Broughton Sanctuary Estate. Recently renovated, it offers a most relaxing stay with stylish interiors and oodles of outdoor space to enjoy. Bring your group together here for a memorable Yorkshire cottage getaway.
Enter the house into the wonderful hand-painted kitchen containing all the necessities including an integrated dishwasher, an induction hob, and a double oven. The kitchen leads to the orangery/conservatory which is another new addition overlooking the walled kitchen garden which has raised flower beds containing herbs. There is a cosy dining room where you can all sit together for meal times, however, if you fancy eating out, The Bull Pub and Restaurant can be reached via a short walk through the estate grounds. There is also a walled Garden Bistro on the Estate available for guests serving breakfast, lunch and supper. The Grand is also close to Skipton where you can find lovely restaurants, tea rooms and pubs.
The property features four double bedrooms and one single bedroom. All double bedrooms are located on the first floor with country views and their own en-suite shower or bathroom, whereas the single room is on the ground floor with a shared bathroom on the first floor. Bedrooms are light and airy with chic accessories and artwork.
The cosy sitting room is a sociable space where you and your guests can unwind after a day of activities. Outside there is an enclosed rear garden with a patio and BBQ for summer entertaining. Close by, Broughton Wellness Sanctuary provides wonderful walks, cycling trails, wild swimming, a sauna, an outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court and an outdoor swimming pool all available for guests to use whilst staying at The Manse.
The Grand on the Broughton Sanctuary Estate is just over 3 miles away from Skipton with its long, cobbled high street, a mix of independent and high street shops, coffee shops and tea rooms. Stroll along the canal, through the woods or discover Norman history at Skipton Castle. For a little more adventure, you can book a Land Rover Experience at the course on the estate (by direct arrangement with the owner). Clay pigeon shooting, archery, hot air ballooning, fishing and horse riding can also be arranged within the grounds.
Within 10 miles drive is Malham with its breathtaking 260ft high limestone cove. If you’re feeling fit, climb the steps to the top where you’ll be rewarded with magnificent views down the dale and be able to see one of the finest examples of limestone pavement in the country, which was also used in a scene from one of the Harry Potter films. Alternative easy walks include Gordale Scar, also a film location for Harry Potter.
For a relaxing day out venture further into the Yorkshire Dales to the picturesque villages of Grassington, 12 miles, and Kettlewell, 5 miles further, calling at Kilnsey Trout Farm on the way and a stop off to watch the climbers hang off Kilnsey Crag. Many walks and cycle routes for all abilities can be found here and all around the area.
The Bull Pub and Restaurant reached via a walk through the estate grounds. The Grand provides a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life but will come alive when filled with your family and friends and close to Skipton with lovely restaurants, tea rooms and pubs.
