Sleeping up to 16 guests, Manor House is a beautiful Grade II listed 16th Century House with stunning interior decor and perfectly manicured grounds. Situated in a picturesque village, it’s just five miles from Ripon and 15 miles from Harrogate, making it an ideal destination for a luxury Yorkshire getaway.
Entering into the house, you will find a beautiful hallway leading through to a modern bright fully equipped Kitchen with an Aga, a granite island and a kitchen table. There is access from the hall and kitchen into a large light dining room with tall sash windows and an open fireplace overlooking the gardens. Outdoor dining is also an option with a gas BBQ at your disposal and a large dining table and chairs on the patio. Weddings and events are possible here – please enquire and we will put you in touch with our event organiser to arrange.
On the first floor, you will find four stunning bedrooms; one being a double, two kings and a master bedroom with a super king. On the second floor, there are three double bedrooms; one double with an ensuite, two singles, and two further doubles that share a family bathroom with a shower and bath. There is an additional 1 bedroom cottage available within the grounds – please enquire for availability and more details.
During your stay, you will have access to the full house and grounds with a beautiful walled garden and outdoor sun loungers to relax on. Inside, there is a wonderful conservatory room with a large L-shaped sofa and comfortable armchairs, a log burner and television with French windows again leading out to the terrace. This room also leads out through an arched door to a covered outside passage to the front of the house with beautiful gardens here too. The Drawing Room, with its large comfy sofas and open fireplace, is also situated off the hall and is a wonderful entertaining room with a snooker table for games nights.
Perfectly situated in the heart of glorious North Yorkshire, staying at Manor House means you are perfectly located to walk, cycle or explore the area by car. Lightwater Valley Adventure Park is very close by if it’s adrenaline you are seeking, otherwise, take a leisurely stroll to one of the nearby pubs for a relaxing lunch with friends. Fountains Abbey is a must-visit for its unique blend of history, architecture, and natural beauty, while Newby Hall features beautiful gardens, including a historic parterre, a rose garden, and a riverside walk. If you have horses there are also stables at Manor House that can be hired by separate arrangement.
The large Entrance Hall leads through to a modern bright fully equipped Kitchen with an aga, island and round kitchen table.

The Drawing Room is also situated off the hall and is a wonderful entertaining room with snooker table. There are French windows leading out onto the Terrace and Garden with outdoor Dining and BBQ and onto the walled Garden.
The Conservatory room leads out to the terrace with outdoor dining and seating and walled garden. This room also leads out through an arched door to a covered outside passage leading to the front of the house.

There are 4 double bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms on the first floor; one is a double, the master bedroom is a super king and the other 2 bedrooms are kings.
On the second floor there are three double bedrooms; one has an ensuite with a double bed and two single beds. The other two bedrooms are double beds and share a family bathroom with shower and bath.
Please note this house doesn’t have zip and link beds.
During your stay you will have exclusive access to the house, beautiful walled garden with outdoor seating and gas BBQ as well as it’s wrapped around garden.
If you have horses there are stables that can be hired by separate arrangement.
The nearest train station is Thirsk or Northallerton which are on the mainline London to Edinburgh service.

Well where do i begin . What a fabulous house . We have just celebrated my 60th birthday and what a way to celebrate . The house is much more than the website photos . So beautifully decorated . All rooms are comfortable spacious . Just amazing . Superb grounds . We all had a fabulous time .

Family celebration for Grandpa’s 80th Birthday. We have had a wonderful time in a lovely house & garden. Well equipped house & kitchen – and the pool table provided much entertainment for three generations.

My family and friends loved Victoria’s home, pictures can not do it justice, you have to be there to truly appreciate the beauty of the house and the surrounding grounds.
Victoria’s place was amazing, truly a Palace. We were a large group of uni friends meeting up and it was perfect. That large rooms, quality finish and beautiful grounds really made our stay. Would definitely recommend and hopefully be back.
