Hacklers Hill, Near Pateley Bridge, North Yorkshire

Hacklers Hill is a delightful, newly-renovated holiday home that is beautifully positioned on the edge of Dacre, just 11 miles from Harrogate. Featuring 6 bedrooms, the property is wheelchair accessible with a ground-floor bedroom, and there is a large wraparound terrace with outdoor seating to enjoy the spectacular views.

EAT

Enter the house to find an entrance hall that leads through to a brand-new oak kitchen with fitted units, gas range cooker, fridge, marble tops, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and seating at the breakfast bar. The kitchen leads through to an open-plan sitting room/dining room with a large L-shaped sofa, a log burner and floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors to the terrace and onto the garden. There is a large dining table with seating for 12 people to eat together, and again large sliding glass doors to the surrounding terrace with outdoor seating. The dining area leads into a snug with a television and comfy sofas where you can chill and socialise after dinner.  

SLEEP 

The house sleeps up to 12 guests with 4 double bedrooms, a sitting room with a sofa bed, and a separate Railway Carriage in the garden with a double bedroom and ensuite. Most of the ground floor is wheelchair accessible including a ground floor double bedroom with double bi-folding doors leading to a sitting room with a sofa bed that can be made up as a double bed or as a sitting room with smart television. There is a downstairs wheelchair-accessible shower room with a seat, sink and w.c. The doors are all 900mm wide and the only door downstairs that is not wheelchair friendly is the small sitting room leading from the dining room. Stairs lead up to the first floor with 3 further double bedrooms all with super king beds that are zip and link so can be made up either as super kings or singles and each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. Outside, The Railway Carriage offers far-reaching views over Nidderdale Valley with a cosy double bed, table and chairs, kitchen and shower room, and terrace with outdoor furniture. There is also a hobbit log burner in here too. 

RELAX 

This family-friendly Yorkshire holiday home is perfect for both summer and winter entertaining. The house has a large wrap-around terrace with glass panels, relaxed outdoor seating and an Egg BBQ to enjoy summer dining with your group. There is a lovely hot tub overlooking the lawn for you to relax in and enjoy.   There is a large grassed lawn to enjoy games with your group. The entrance hall has a utility area with a washing machine and dryer leading to the downstairs cloakroom with a shower and room to hang coats and outdoor shoes.  There is also a large tarmac area with ample parking for up to 10 cars, a pay electric charging point, plus a locked building where you can store your bicycles.

EXPLORE

Hacklers Hill is situated on the edge of Dacre, just 11 miles from Harrogate and 5 miles from Pateley Bridge. Its secluded position offers far-reaching views over the Nidderdale Valley. When you fancy a pub lunch after a long day of hiking or cycling, The Royal Oak in Dacre and the Wellington in Darley are both within walking distance of the house.

• 2 dogs allowed at £40 per dog per stay

Kitchen, Open plan sitting room/dining room, Snug Television room, 1 super king bedroom and bathroom with wheelchair accessibility.  Sitting room with sofa bed which can be made into double bed if requested. Utility room. Downstairs shower room and w.c.

FIRST FLOOR

There are two staircases leading to the first floor which has 3 double bedrooms with super king beds that can be made up as doubles or singles all with ensuite bathrooms. (please request on booking).

RAILWAY CARRIAGE

Separate converted Railway Carriage with double bed, kitchenette and mains shower/w.c. located at the side of the house with wonderful views and outdoor seating.

OUTSIDE

There is a terrace surrounding the house and steps down to the lawned garden and hot tub.

Electric gates leading into the parking area with space for up to 10 cars.

Bike Storage available with separate fridge/freezer.

What a great place, lovely views, beautiful house and everything you could want to make the perfect break. Suitable for young or old to enjoy themselves and all the small extras make it very special and so much to do close by.

Every part of this property is fantastically equipped, including the railway carriage in the garden. Spotlessly clean. This place has everything you need for a fantastic break in the Yorkshire Dales. We absolutely loved it here.

Twenty minutes from Harrogate, and some really nice local pubs as well, with a fifteen minute drive to the lovely little village of Pateley Bridge. Highly recommended for families of all ages. Our only regret was that we had to leave at the end of our stay, and we all wished we had booked for longer. We were here over Christmas 2024, and us all being together as an family and being able to stay in one property (particularly one of such a high standard) made this one of our best Christmas’s in a long time. Thank you.

The house was delightful! We were spending time with our children and grandchildren and the place was perfect. Everything was top notch and extremely clean. Lots of space for cars and lots of space for us all to eat and chill. I would definitely recommend the house to anyone.

What an absolutely beautiful property, the views are stunning! The house itself is gorgeous, every room is immaculate, spacious and beautifully decorated. It was perfect for our group, plenty of space for all of us and the children loved playing in the garden. We will definitely be returning, thank you so much!
