Outside, there is a delightful decking area and BBQ where you can enjoy alfresco meals and summer sundowners.Â
Sleeping 8 guests, Fletcher House offers four beautifully designed bedrooms all located on the first floor of the property. The neutral interiors are bright and airy and designed for ultimate peace and relaxation during your stay. Three of the bedrooms feature super king beds, which can be split into twin beds upon request before you arrive. Â
The house has been designed to promote comfort and relaxation at all times, with cosy, inviting spaces to chill out with a book or enjoy special moments with friends. The lounge offers a velvet L-shaped sofa and an open fire – perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the delights of The Dales. The front garden, enclosed by a gate, offers a peaceful setting to relax outside on warmer days and there is also a hot tub on the decking area, which is perfect both in summer and winter.Â
Ideally located for exploring the best of North Yorkshire, there are plenty of scenic walking trails, cycling routes and local landmarks just waiting to be discovered nearby. The market towns of Thirsk, Masham, and Bedale are only a 15-minute drive away where you can stumble upon unique shops, independent restaurants and cafés as all as award-winning gastro pubs. Slightly further afield, York & Harrogate are both 40 minutes away – both top destinations for cultural landmarks, luxury dining and retail therapy.Â
GROUND FLOOR
Guests enter the house into the entrance hall leading into the relaxing sitting room with cosy velvet L shaped sofa, open fire and smart tv. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher and electric oven and modern units leading through to the dining room with large dining table perfect for those cosy family meals and comfy sofa to relax on. The kitchen leads out to the rear garden with views over the Yorkshire countryside and decking area with hot tub, bbq and outdoor seating perfect for alfresco dining. There is a outhouse with washing machine and tumble dryer and the house is dog friendly. There is a spacious cloakroom on the ground floor with hanging for coats and wellies.
FIRST FLOOR
Stairs lead up to the first floor with four beautifully designed double bedrooms, three zip and links and one double and two bathrooms, one bathroom has a bath with a shower over and the other has a rainfall shower.
Bedroom 1 is the room with an orange headboard and has a king sized bed
Bedroom 2 is the room with a coral headboard and mustard cushions, this has a super king bed that can be split into twin beds.
Bedroom 3 is the navy patterned headboard with pink side lamps and has a super king bed that can be split into twin beds.
Bedroom 4 is the room with a green headboard and has a super king bed that can be split into twin beds.
OUTSIDE
There is a large front garden with a gate that can be closed and the back garden has a lawned area and view over the Yorkshire countryside with decking area with hot tub and outdoor seating.
Located in Ainderby Quernhow, this holiday cottage is near Thirsk in North Yorkshire. Keen walkers will enjoy the many wonderful routes and local landmarks that make this countryside so special. Thirsk is home to the famous Yorkshire Vet and the World of James Herriot. A trip to Masham should include a tour of the historic Black Sheep Brewery. Nearby, Thorp Perrow or Newby Hall and Gardens are popular choices for families, and we recommend a trip to The Forbidden Corner or Lightwater Valley for the more adventurous!

The nearby market towns of Masham, Bedale, and Thirsk are within a 15-minute drive; each has a choice of shops and cafés, traditional pubs, restaurants, and a weekly farmers’ market. Within an easy drive is Ripon, one of England’s oldest cities, with a majestic cathedral to visit.
