SLEEP

Culmington House sleeps 14 guests across seven spacious and stylish bedrooms, all kitted out with plush White Company linens and cloud-soft mattresses. On the first floor, the master suite boasts a superking bed and en-suite, joined by another kingsize en-suite and three more kingsize rooms. Head upstairs to the second floor for a cosy double, plus a twin that’s perfect for kids. Whether you’re curling up with a book, catching forty winks after a country walk, or enjoying a long soak, rest comes easy here.

RELAX

Inside, you and your guests can spread out across the drawing room and sitting room – each space packed with character and inviting spots to lounge and restore. Outside, soak up the Shropshire sunshine on the terrace with a glass in hand, or wander through landscaped gardens where the brook meanders lazily by. There’s plenty of space to switch off, reconnect, or just do absolutely nothing. Whether it’s board games by the fire or cocktails in the garden, this is a house built for unwinding.

EXPLORE

With the Culmingham as your base, the Shropshire Hills are right on your doorstep, with walking trails, pretty villages, and cosy pubs waiting to be discovered. Just down the road, Ludlow is an absolute foodie haven with markets, a castle, and festivals galore throughout the year. For a dose of adventure, try karting at Rednal, hiking on Long Mynd, or a flutter at Ludlow Racecourse. Kids (and big kids) will love nearby Alton Towers, Dudley Zoo, or Medieval Madness. From country strolls to adrenaline kicks, Culmington House is the perfect base to explore it all.

Culmington House is really easy to reach, whether you’re driving, training, or flying in. Here’s how:

By Car

Just 5 miles north of Ludlow, with easy access from the A49. Plenty of parking available.

By Train

Ludlow train station is around 10 minutes away, with regular services from Shrewsbury, Hereford, and beyond.

By Plane

Birmingham Airport is the nearest – around 1 hour 20 minutes away by car, with car hire and onward train links available.

Culmington House was such a briliant and fascinating place to stay for our special family get together. Beds were super comfortable and bathrooms a joy. Drawing room was great and we enjoyed a warming fire in the evening. Entertaining and dining was fun in the beautiful kitchen/dining room. Everyone loved exploring the various rooms, so many books, and the amazing art work everywhere ! Gardens were stunning, even in autumn. We just had a wonderful time altogether.

There is a small brook running through the bottom of the garden which is not fenced.

Please request cot and high chair and guests must bring their own bedding for the cot.
