Overview

Millers House is a fabulous, dog-friendly holiday house situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales next to Aysgarth Falls. Set over three floors it sleeps up to twelve guests in five bedrooms and features stylish interior design throughout. Bring your group here for a relaxing stay and to access fantastic walks and cycle routes.

The house has been recently renovated and decorated to a high standard and provides spacious, attractive accommodation for large and extended families.

EAT

The kitchen is modern and includes all the essentials to prepare delicious home-cooked food including an induction oven, fridge/freezer, a butcher’s block, a dishwasher and a coffee machine. There is an open-plan seating area with a dining table and chairs for 10/12 guests as well as further seating options outside. You are also well located to arrange lots of nice places to eat out, including the Mill Race Teashop, Aysgarth Falls Hotel and The Bolton Arms.

SLEEP

The house sleeps between 10/12 guests in five bedrooms. There are three good-sized bedrooms on the first floor, including the welcoming master bedroom with a king-size bed and luxury ensuite wet room. Stairs lead up to the second floor where there is a further large sitting room with comfortable sofas, log burner and smart TV, perfect for families and children. Two more bedrooms (a large double including an additional day bed, and a twin bedroom) and a second contemporary family bathroom complete the accommodation.

RELAX

Guests will feel instantly relaxed as they enter this contemporary and sociable space. The downstairs sitting room offers a warm and cosy place to relax with its log burner and wooden floor, and the entire ground floor benefits from underfloor heating making it a snug place to be on even the coldest days. The large garden boasts unique views across the beautiful River Ure and offers direct access to the river. It’s a great space for children to roam and play outdoor games.

EXPLORE

There are many beautiful walks and cycle trails close by and the house is only a short stroll from the stunning Aysgarth Falls. The Mill Race Tea Shop is also on the doorstep providing a relaxed place to stop for a bite to eat or to get an ice cream. The house is also a short drive from the pretty market towns of Leyburn and Hawes with their host of quirky, independent shops, restaurants, cafes, and traditional pubs. The imposing Castle Bolton is a 4-mile hike or a short drive away, and there are many stunning walks and cycleways around Aysgarth, including the start of the Three Peaks trail. Visit the Wensleydale Creamery for a taste of the delicious Wensleydale cheeses or take a trip to the Forbidden Corner at Middleham for a wonderful day out for all ages.

Layout

GROUND FLOOR

Guests enter the house into the entrance hall with stone flagged floors leading down to the utility area and cloakroom. The Sitting room with log burner, comfy sofas and television is off the hall. The Kitchen also is off the hall with dining table and chairs for 10 – 12 guests, modern kitchen units, fridge/freezer, cooker and dishwasher. Stairs leading from the kitchen up to the first floor.

FIRST FLOOR

The first floor has the Master Bedroom with king sized bed and ensuite bathroom, next door is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with family bathroom.

SECOND FLOOR

Stairs lead from the first floor up to the second floor with a large sitting room, comfy sofas and smart tv. There is a twin bedroom off the sitting room and a double bedroom with double bed and extra bed that can be made up as one single and another single if the trundle bed is requested. There is a separate bathroom.

GARDEN

There is parking outside the front of the house and a garden with outdoor seating and bbq area.

By Road

Aysgarth Falls is easily reached by car, nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The village of Aysgarth lies just off the A684, between Leyburn and Hawes, with scenic routes from the A1(M) via Bedale or Northallerton. Free and paid parking is available near the Falls and in the surrounding area.

By Train

The nearest mainline railway stations are Northallerton and Darlington, both around an hour’s drive away, offering regular services to York, Leeds, Newcastle, and London.

By Air

For visitors travelling from further afield, Leeds Bradford Airport is approximately 55 miles away, with Newcastle Airport around 70 miles.

Fantastic place located right next to the famous Aysgarth Waterfalls and many walking trails suitable for families, with a number of attractions within 20mins driving distance. The property is nicely tucked away, and had plenty of room for all of us, with five spacious bedrooms, two living rooms, a fabulous kitchen, three shower/bathrooms and one cloakroom. There was plenty of parking space for our 3 cars right in front. We were a group of 11 including 8 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 toddler, and we had a lovely stay at this property during the school term break over Halloween. We will definitely visit again 🙂

Gorgeous house and lovely location right by the falls.

Amazing place to stay for a group of friends! Fantastic location that was peaceful and private, amazing garden to enjoy the sunshine! House was spacious yet cosy and gave everyone the opportunity to socialise and have their own space too! Would definitely recommend!

Beautifully renovated house with enough space for everyone! We celebrated my 30th birthday here with the whole family and it was perfect, in a beautiful location!

We loved our stay here. The house was clean, beautifully decorated and perfect for our big family with a few spaces for us to come together to socialise. We thought is was a great location with local walks from the doorstep and as a bonus the house has a nice big mudroom. The house had games, books and DVDs too which was a nice touch. I’d like to give a shout out for the traybakes from the nearby Mill Race Teashop too – they were incredible.

The house is beautiful, we are a family of 11 ranging from 5 to 65 and there was more than enough room for us all. The house provided everything we needed for our stay, the little touches like a welcome bottle of milk, wine and some lovely cakes we much appreciated. The location is spectacular right next to the falls with lovely walks. We would definitely book again.
