Turbine House is a superb self-catering holiday cottage nestled in a beautiful, quiet corner of the quaint village of Reeth. Featuring two delightful bedrooms, it offers the perfect place to enjoy all the wonders of the Yorkshire Dales.

Eat

The entrance to Turbine House takes you straight into the light and airy kitchen. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. There is plenty of work surface and storage space for your personal items and there is a dining table with seating for 4 people. There are also 3 village pubs in walking distance, as well as a tearoom, a bakery and an ice-cream parlour.

Sleep

From the sitting room, the stairs lead up to the two double bedrooms and a shared bathroom with a bath and shower over. The Super King size bed in the bigger bedroom can be changed into twin beds on request. The double bedroom has beautiful views up to Fremington Edge. There are 3 other cottages that can be let at the same time for a larger group. All cottages are next to each other. These are Burton House, Greystones and Charlie’s Stable.

Relax

There is lots of outside space at Turbine House making it a great holiday home to enjoy the outdoors. There is a table and chairs for enjoying the morning sun and a BBQ area, fire pit and sofa seating for lazy evenings watching the stars. To the left of the kitchen is the sitting room, which offers a cosy space to unwind in the comfortable seating in front of the newly fitted log burning stove. The 40″ TV has an amazon fire stick, including a Netflix and Amazon Prime subscription to keep you entertained. The house boasts its own unique history – it once housed all the turbines that were used for producing electricity for the Dales. There are still some pulleys on show in the sitting room today. It’s so quiet and tranquil in this corner of the village, all you can hear are the birds, the sheep and the Arkle beck which runs nearby. Yet you are only a 2 minute walk from the village centre! There is plenty of private parking, and the cottage has its own fully enclosed and secure garden.

Explore

Set in the beautiful countryside of Swaledale, the house is surrounded by farmland and stunning views from every window. The village of Reeth is an ideal base for exploring the Dales. It is a bustling community, with pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops, a museum, a hairdressers an ice cream parlour, a beauty salon and a market every Friday. Visitors are never short of things to do, and that’s before we mention the many spectacular walks starting right from the doorstep!

Secure enclosed riverside garden adjacent to the property, with built in BBQ.

By Road

Reeth is accessible by car via the A684 from Leyburn or Richmond.

By Train

The nearest station is Richmond, with connections from London or York.

By Bus

Buses run from Richmond, Leyburn, and other nearby towns, but schedules may vary.

A lovely property in a quiet spot by the river. Ample parking and easy to find. Well equipped with crisp bed linen and a large bath. Would go again and recommend to friends and family.
