Highleases Farm, Richmond, North Yorkshire

Providing stunning self-catering accommodation in North Yorkshire for up to 24 people, Highleases Farm has been renovated to a very high standard with large open-plan living areas and floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing light to flood in. There are sliding glass doors opening out onto the surrounding terrace, wooden and stone floors throughout, underfloor heating and a spectacular spiral staircase in the centre of the house leading you upstairs.

EAT

When it comes to dining in, you can certainly do it in style. The sleek open-plan kitchen/living area has silestone worktops and an island, two electric ovens, an induction hob, a microwave, a large fridge, a freezer, 2 dishwashers, and a coffee machine. There is a large oak dining room table that provides seating for 24 guests and also a glass door leading out from the kitchen onto the terrace with a BBQ and plenty of outdoor seating. When you fancy eating out, Richmond is a haven for those who enjoy great food, with a mixture of great independent bars and eateries to choose from.

SLEEP

Sleeping up to 24 people, there are 9 beautiful bedrooms in the house, all with their own distinct charm and character. There are 8 bedrooms in the main house split over 3 floors, and a ground-floor annexe across the courtyard provides accommodation for four further guests. Two of the downstairs bedrooms are connected by double doors and share a bathroom, which would be perfect for a young family. There is a range of twin, double and king-size bedrooms, as well as a family room on the second floor featuring a king-sized bed, two single beds and an open-plan en suite shower room.

RELAX

With large comfy sofas and a wood burner, there is plenty of space to get cosy and relax with a good book or movie. The large living area is in the centre of the house with a grand piano, Smart TV and floor-to-ceiling windows showing off the stunning views over the Yorkshire Dales. There is also a games room featuring a table tennis table, snooker table and a selection of DVDs, CDs and board games. Hot tub hire is also available when you enquire with us at the time of booking.

EXPLORE

Richmond is a paradise for walkers and cyclists with the famous Tour de Yorkshire route passing close by and the famous Swale Trail easily accessible from the Farm. Richmond Golf Course is also close by where you can enjoy a game surrounded by peaceful views. Richmond Castle is a must-see for history & culture lovers and can be walked to with ease from the house. The town is also home to an independent cinema and a nationally celebrated weekly market. You can also take a trip out to picturesque nearby towns and villages such as Leyburn, Kirby Fleetham, Reeth and Hawes.

• If you would like to hire any external suppliers or caterers please let us know as we have a set list we can provide.  Please note no other external suppliers will be permitted at the house due to insurance restrictions.
• Bedroom 2, 5 and 9 can be super kings or twins. Please confirm upon booking
• Bedroom 3 is only accessible through Bedroom 2 and they share a bathroom
• Logs for fire provided
• 2 Cots and 2 Highchairs available, please bring your own bedding
• Bike Storage on request
• Pets – 2 dogs allowed £40 per dog per stay
• The garden is split level and has 6 steps from the car park to the decked area, 8 steps to the sun terrace/courtyard
• There is access to the grass garden below

GROUND FLOOR

Entrance into Hallway, leading through to a Galleried Hall and Library with spectacular Spiral Staircase leading up to the First and Second Floor.

6 Steps lead down to the:

Large Living Area with kitchen, dining and sitting area with wooden floors and full height glass windows with doors leading out to the Terrace.

Living Area: With Wood burner, Smart TV, Upright Piano and overlooking the Terrace.

Kitchen/Dining Area:  With long dining table with seating for 22 plus, Island with Silestone top and breakfast area, double electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge, 2 freezers, 2 dishwashers and coffee machine.

Door with access to the terrace with Charcoal BBQ, table and benches.

Utility Room: With washing machine and tumble dryer.

Games Room: Table Tennis, snooker table and a selection of DVDs, CDs and Games.

Separate Sitting Room/Music Room with Grand Piano and large glass windows with sliding doors leading out onto the terrace with wonderful views across the Dales and over Richmond.

Cloakroom.

Bedroom 1: With Double Bed and sliding doors to ensuite bathroom with roll top bath with shower attachment, double basin and loo.

Bedroom 2: With Super King zip and link bed that can be made into 2 single beds, sofas and armchair and large floor to ceiling glass windows with sliding doors leading to the Terrace. This bedroom is connected by double doors to bedroom 3 and shares a bathroom.

Ensuite Shower Room with basin and loo.

Double Doors lead down six steps to:

Bedroom 3: With Super King bed, large floor to ceiling windows on two sides and wonderful views across the Yorkshire Dales. You have to go through bedroom 2 to get to bedroom 3. They share a bathroom.

FIRST FLOOR

Bedroom 4 Master Bedroom and Bathroom:

From the landing you enter through into a large bathroom with roll top bath, walk in shower, double sink unit, loo, heated towel rail and tiled floor.

This leads through double doors to:

The Master Bedroom: With large Super King Bed and views through large glass floor to ceiling window.

Bedroom 5: With two single beds which can be twins or a super king, and stairs leading up to a mezzanine floor with king sized bed.

Ensuite bathroom with bath with shower head, loo and basin.

Bedroom 6: With King sized Bed.

Bedroom 7: With Double Bed.

Shower Room: With walk in Shower, loo, heated towel rail and tiled floor.

SECOND FLOOR

Bedroom 8: With one super-king and 2 single beds and open plan en suite shower room

EXTERNAL ANNEX

Bedroom 9: With 4 zip and link single beds that can be made up into 2 super king sized beds on request.

Ensuite Shower Room with walk in shower, basin and loo

Our first impression- utterly incredible! The house was outstanding, exceeding expectations, the pictures do not do it justice. The property is vast, with many spaces for you to relax and escape.

Very clean, very spacious and very welcoming property. A ideal level of privacy with incredible views and more than enough amenities to get through your stay. The property is incredible as an experience and very safe for small children with lots of space to explore. The main living area is ideal for you and a group of friends to enjoy comfortable evenings catching up. Would very much recommend this place for gatherings of mid-sized groups of friends or family.
