Dairy Cottage is a beautiful two-bedroom, dog-friendly, holiday cottage in Masham that has been newly renovated to a luxuriously high standard. With pretty furnishings, modern amenities and stylish interiors, it’s the perfect base to explore North Yorkshire and everything it has to offer.

Eat

The modern kitchen is perfect for prepping easy home cooked dinners and delicious weekend breakfasts with your family. There is a relaxed dining table for four people in the open plan living area. The White Bear pub is a popular choice if you fancy eating out and is located close by.

Sleep

The stairs lead upstairs to a master bedroom with a superking bed and a further twin room with two cosy single beds. Both bedrooms share a family bathroom with a modern shower.

Relax

The bright open plan living area and kitchen are stylishly furnished, with two very comfortable sofas, and a wall-mounted Smart television. Wifi is available.

Explore

The cottage is perfectly situated in Masham in the heart of Wensleydale. It’s within walking distance of the traditional Market Square with its sweet shops and numerous cafes and pubs. Theakston’s Visitor Centre is on the doorstep along with the Black Sheep Brewery, two of the UK’s oldest Breweries, which both provide tours.

Ground Floor

Through the front door you enter into the kitchen/ living room with 2 comfy sofas, electric log burner and dining table. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, electric oven and hob.

First Floor

Up the stairs there is the master room to the left with a superking size bed. There is also a twin room and a family bathroom with shower.

Exterior

There is parking for 1 car in front of the cottage. To access the cottage there are 5 steps up.

Masham, North Yorkshire is situated on the River Ure, is a thriving market town and has a selection of pubs, restaurants, cafes, butchers and local fruit and vegetable shops all within walking distance of the cottage. There is also a local market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Tour de Yorkshire passes through Masham every year and the local area provides wonderful cycling routes.

from Kings Cross Station.

Great location for exploring the area. We could have left the car on the drive and walked somewhere different everyday. Lovely cottage that has all that you need. Great pub within a stones throw. Two breweries are well worth the visit. We will return.

Perfect escape from the hubbub of the south of England. Great location for exploring Yorkshire and really close to a selection of pubs , cafes and shops. If you want to experience a bit of what it’s like to live in Yorkshire give it a try, you’ll love it, we did.

Cottage perfectly located next to White Bear Hotel for food and drink. Masham easily walkabl . Lots of pubs in area with lovely food and very friendly. Yorkshire Dales beautiful and so many places to visit, especially Lake Windermere. Yorkshire Escapes very professional and would definitely book with them again. Had a lovely time and recommend a visit. Cottage clean and comfy and bottle of wine and bag of crisps lovely touch for our arrival.

Fantastic cottage. The place was immaculate. It had everything in the kitchen you need for a long term stay, let alone a weekend. Beds were comfy. Loved the bathroom, especially being able to sing in the shower as the mirror has bluetooth! Hilarious! The bedroom with the twin beds is very compact, but does exactly what you need it to do. Loved it! We will definitely book here again the next time we stay in Masham.

This was our second time staying here as a family. It is a cosy comfortable house in a very convenient location. We visit friends in Masham and love exploring the local area. This time we visited Brymor dairies and tasted delicious ice-cream and saw the pet animals. We drove to Bronte village, Haworth and visited the home of the Bronte sisters. We also visited Ripon, Bedale and The Old Station House, Masham and Johnny Baghdad’s café. We will be back!

Great cottage, clean and tidy, very well equipped. Great location with a parking space. Close to all amenities. Perfect for us thanks.

We stayed for 4 nights over a Bank Holiday. The cottage was very clean and had all amenities we wanted and more.
Little extras like salt, pepper, tea, coffee and thank you for the wine and crisps too. This kitchen had so many plates, glasses, pans, utensils even a few dish washer tablets. There are board games as well as a Hoover, iron & ironing board.
Nothing is far in Masham but I really love where our cottage was. Not even 5 min walk to the square and right next door to the black sheep.
Shower was lovely. The twin room is very small but we expected that as it’s shown in the photos.
It was a very hot weekend but the cottage kept nice and cool, there’s also a fan in the wardrobe if needed.
We would definitely stay here again if visiting Masham.

Just a fabulous house in a fabulous town

Dairy Cottage was a lovely place to stay for a few days. It is warm, comfortable, well equipped and in a great location, close to Nidderdale National Landscape and Yorkshire Dales National Park. It was ideal to be walking distance into Masham, yet nestled in a very quiet part of the village. We appreciated the wine and crisps, which is a rare touch these days in our experience. We would certainly recommend this accommodation to other visitors to the area.

Lovely, comfortable cottage with everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Great location near the Black Sheep Brewery visitor centre and White Bear: loved it!

This cozy little cottage stole our hearts! We loved everything about it! It was tastefully furnished with everything in its place which made it so easy to maintain. And great location too! This cozy little cottage healed our hearts.

Four of us stayed for 3 nights. Cottage was spotless and in a great location. Absolutely perfect base for our purpose.

We had an excellent time at Dairy Cottage, Masham. The cottage is as described and a great location for exploring North Yorkshire. Cottage was adorable and had everything we needed. Good pubs nearby, really recommend the White bear hotel and the King’s Head. There is also a wonderful butchers – Beavers – who do the best sausages! Hosts were super responsive when we reported a small issue and it was quickly sorted. Highly recommend.

This cottage was absolutely perfect for the 8 nights we had there. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It had everything to make our stay memorable and a lovely welcoming left by the team at Yorkshire Escapes.
Perfect location for touring the North East Dales. Masham itself has everything you need from a village including 4 great pubs, one which is about 50 steps from this cottage, The White Bear.

Beautifully appointed cottage in a beautiful market town. Great location for many activities – our highlight was Yorkshire Sculpture Park (1 hour away) and Swinton Park (on the doorstep). we also enjoyed the Theakston Brewery Tour which was well delivered. Great pubs & restaurants in the town & a well equipped kitchen in the cottage if you want to eat in. We did both.
Fantastic independent shops & we took some lovely Yorkshire produce away with us from the amazing veg shop and amazing little bakery.

Nicely decorated, clean and well equipped holiday home. Great location for Masham and a stones throw from the ‘White Bear’ pub and the ‘Black Sheep Brewery’ Such a beautiful part of the world with wonderful walks close by. Particularly loved the Swinton park estate and the Himalayan Sculpture Gardens. Super lucky with the weather and had a wonderful Easter break in Yorkshire.

Fantastic cottage that felt like a home from home and enough space for us as a family of four to relax. Good sized kitchen and lounge area with a nice master bedroom.

We had a fantastic stay over the Christmas period. We love Masham and have been regular visitors over the years but it was great over the festive period. Cottage was beautiful, very clean , easy to access and very close to everything. Even though very close to the White Bear Pub, very quiet and peaceful and was nice to have the buzz and people about. Great, helpful host who is very responsive… overall great stay, Thank you.

Lovely homely cottage. Excellent location. Very clean and well equipped. LOVED the Bluetooth Mirror in bathroom to stream your favourite tunes whilst having a shower.  Great base to go for walks and sightseeing. We would stay here again.

A very nice cottage in a great position. Everything was very clean and In excellent condition . A very good shower with plenty of hot water. The cottage was warm and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again when I plan my next trip to Yorkshire.

Fantastic Cottage, in a Great Location 2 minutes walk to The Market Square with Shops, Cafés, Pubs. Can Highly recommend The Kings Head and The White Bear for food(Sunday Lunch is amazing). The Village is lovely with lots if pretty Cottages and buildings, we will definitely return

Absolutely perfect place for our family to stay during our trip to Yorkshire. The cottage is super comfy and cosy and spotlessly clean. It’s in the ideal location too. Masham is gorgeous and the cottage is seconds away from the centre. The shower is fantastic and it has everything you could need. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend it to other travellers.

The house had everything we needed for a long weekend stay, and Masham had enough nice pubs for us to eat somewhere different every night. A great base to explore the Dales.
