EAT

Equipped with high-end appliances, including a microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and breadmaker, the kitchen at Cowslip offers all you need, and more, for a comfortable self-catering stay. The solid oak dining table makes a great base for slow, sociable meals together, while the honesty bar is always stocked with your favourite tipples to enjoy after dinner. The nearest pub is just a short, 5-minute walk away, offering home-cooked meals around an atmospheric log burning fire. There’s also a fish and chip shop, baker, butcher and deli, within a 10 minute walk of the cottage.

SLEEP

Sleeping six people in total, Cowslip offers three stylishly appointed bedrooms. The master bedroom fills the entire top floor with a king-size bed, luxurious linens, and a freestanding bath in the room. Two additional bedrooms are on the first floor: one with a king-size bed, and the other with zip-and-link twin beds that can be made into a super-king. All rooms have wall-mounted flat-screen TVs and are dressed in elegant, neutral decor for ultimate relaxation and calm.

REST

To make your stay as restorative as possible, the cottage is designed with special details to keep you calm. The spacious living room boasts sumptuous sofas, Zoffany curtains and feather filled cushions, while a a log burner crackles away from within the inglenook fireplace. French doors open onto a large glazed balcony with stunning views of the North Yorkshire Moors and sounds of nature at every turn. For further outdoor relaxation, enjoy the patio area with cosy throws and comfy seating, perfect for peaceful stargazing or a BBQ feast prepared on the charcoal Weber grill. The tranquility of the surrounding countryside, complete with birdsong and the sounds of nature, only adds to the peaceful atmosphere.

With a base in the pretty village of Sleights, you have unravelled access to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, where you can embark on invigorating hikes, leisurely scenic walks, or famous cycling trails right from the doorstep. The nearby coastal paths lead to hidden sandy beaches as well as popular Whitby, with its charming boutiques, seafood restaurants, and dramatic Abbey. You can be as active or sedentary as you like as you enjoy the natural beauty all around you.

Stairs lead up to the first floor with two bedrooms, one has a king size bed and other zip and link beds, made up as twins, or can be a superking bed if requested.

Master bedroom with king size bed, freestanding bath and separate shower room.

OUTSIDE

Terrace/balcony leading out from the sitting room with outdoor seating for 6 guests and wonderful views.
