Cosy Cottage is a charming, newly decorated holiday cottage in the heart of Masham in the Yorkshire Dales. Sleeping up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms, it’s the perfect bolthole for a rejuvenating Yorkshire staycation.

Eat

The modern kitchen is well equipped for preparing snacks and easy home-cooked meals to enjoy throughout your stay. The cottage is also conveniently situated to access pubs, restaurants, cafes, butchers, and local fruit and vegetable shops. There is also a local market on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Sleep

On the first floor of the cottage you’ll find two double bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a super king-size bed. There is a family bathroom shared between both bedrooms.

Relax

The property is light and airy, making it a peaceful place to retreat to after a day of exploration. The large sitting room features a wall-mounted Smart TV and a dining area that leads through to the kitchen. Wifi is available for your convenience.

Conveniently situated, Cosy Cottage is within walking distance of the traditional Market Square, offering an array of shops and pubs. Just a 20-minute drive from Masham, you’ll discover Leyburn, another lovely market town with a Friday market day. Campbells the independent food store is a haven for food lovers, with its local food and fine wine department. Just outside the town you will find Tennants the largest auction house outside London, try visiting on a sale day if you can, if not they have exhibitions, a modern cafe, restaurant and shop making it an interesting place to stop. Ground Floor

Entering the cottage to a small hall, the door leads into the sitting area with 2 sofas and a small dining table. There is an open staircase leading up to the first floor.

On the far side of the sitting room, you’ll find a door that leads to the kitchen equipped with an electric oven, hob, and washing machine. There is a back door leading out of the kitchen to the bin area.

First Floor

At the top of the stairs is the first bedroom with a kingsize bed and a family bathroom. The second room has a super king bed that can also be made as twin beds.

Exterior

There is no off street parking or garden at this cottage.

Located on the River Ure in North Yorkshire, Masham, is a thriving market town with access pubs, restaurants, cafes.

By Train

The nearest train stations to Masham are Thirsk and Northallerton.

By Road

From the A1, exit at junction 50 and follow signs to Masham. From the north on the A1, exit at Leeming Bar and follow signs to Masham.

By Public bus

Take the 138 from Ripon, the 159 Ripon to Richmond, or the 144 Bedale to Masham.

Lovely spot in Masham. Easy to reach many other popular places in Yorkshire for day trips. Great facilities in the town too eg local Co-Op and small independents too for supplies and dinner in the evenings. Great walks/runs from the doorstep. House was spotless and downstairs areas spacious so plenty of room for us and our two children to chill out, eat and play. A lovely stay, thank you!

Beautiful clean comfortable house in a great location a few minutes walk from the town square. Parking was in the square but free and only a few minutes away.

The cottage is located in a small and quiet village just off the main square. It had plenty of room, light, comfort, and well-equipped kitchen. it’s a great launching point for either coast, and points in between. Easy parking a block away. Truly spectacular countryside in all directions, and plenty of walks straight out of the front door as well. The hosts were highly responsive and helpful.

I think this was our 3rd stay at this property, which speaks for itself. Immaculately clean and well provisioned. Masham is a great place for exploring the Dales. Another great holiday.

This is our second time staying at this property, the house is very cosy, very well equipped with everything you could need. Something about this house just makes you feel very at home. Masham is a beautiful place and everyone is friendly and welcoming, we visit regularly and this property is in a great location. Easy walk to a multiple choice of lovely pubs serving great food, good walks nearby, great local shops and amenities or a short drive to Ripon for larger shops/supermarkets. All round great stay. Highly recommend Yorkshire escapes, we have stayed in other properties of theirs and always finished to super standard with great communication from hosts.
