2 Grosmont Farm Cottage is the second half of a beautifully converted cow byre close to the peaceful village of Grosmont on the North Yorkshire Moor. Delightfully decorated with plenty of traditional features and contemporary flair, it’s the perfect luxury Yorkshire holiday cottage to enjoy special moments of relaxation and outdoor adventure with friends and family.

2 dogs allowed at £40 per dog per stay (please enquire if you wish to bring more dogs).

1 x Superking/zip and link with ensuite shower (default bed formation is superking, if you would like making up as 2 singles please request on booking).

1 x Double bedroom and family bathroom.

Getting to Grosmont

By Car

Grosmont is easily accessible by car, offering a scenic drive through the beautiful North York Moors National Park. The village is located about 6 miles from the larger town of Whitby, and 25 miles from Scarborough. From the A169, you can follow the signs to Grosmont, taking you down picturesque country roads. Once in the village, you’ll find the cottages nestled along a farm track, offering you a peaceful, rural retreat. Parking is available at the front of the property for your convenience.

By Train

Grosmont has its own train station, offering excellent connections from nearby towns and cities. The station is well-served by the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, providing a picturesque steam train journey through the moors. You can catch a regular service from Whitby or Pickering to Grosmont, and from there, it’s just a short walk to the cottage. If you’re coming from further afield, you can travel to Whitby or Middlesbrough and connect to the local trains.

By Plane

The closest airport to Grosmont is Teesside International Airport (approximately 50 miles away), which offers flights from various UK destinations. From the airport, you can drive or take a train to Grosmont. Alternatively, Leeds Bradford Airport is around 90 miles away and offers a wider range of international flights. Both airports provide convenient access to the North York Moors region, making Grosmont an easy destination to reach by air for those traveling from further afield.

Wonderful apartment, comfortable and very well equipped with everything you need. There are nice walks directly from the farm but we had a car, so were able to drive out each day to do long, circular hikes in the moorland and valleys or down at the coast. Fantastic location for that.

Gorgeous barn conversion in a perfect location. Close enough to the beach for family days out in both Whitby and Robin’s Hood Bay. Beautiful accommodation with comfy beds, open plan kitchen and living and spotless bathrooms. Excellent help with baby cot and high chair. Would love to come back.

What a beautiful cottage! Exactly as described if not nicer. Spacious, and perfect for a family / group of four. Everything was so clean, and gave a luxury feel with super nice appliances and little touches. Also provided a cot and a highchair. Also perfect location especially for walks, runs and biking! Would definitely come back, and would HIGHLY recommend!! 5/5!

We had a lovely stay at Grosmont cottage. Lovely surroundings and very peaceful. Great place to stay with a short drive into Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and the surrounding areas! The cottage itself is very clean and modern and is a lot bigger in person than it is in pictures! Our hosts were very attentive and hospitable!

Pretty fresh and new (there were no reviews when we booked), but this well appointed single-level conversion covered all of our needs perfectly. Obviously a lot of thought has gone into the property, and whilst it is on a working farm, the quiet, the open skies and the wildlife (especially the many Brown Hares) add to that difference. Good proximity to Whitby, Sandsend and inland attractions. A few minutes (drive) from stations for ‘normal’ or steam into Whitby. Highly recommended.
