EAT

Bright, airy and spacious, the modern kitchen is flooded with light and makes for the most welcoming space to prepare meals and gather with friends. It also shares its home with a large central island, dining table and generous living area, thanks to a thoughtfully designed and sociable open-plan layout. The kitchen is very well equipped with an electric range cooker, microwave, full-size fridge and under counter freezer, as well as a wine chiller for ensuring there’s always something cool to drink! The informal dining area comfortably seats up to 10 guests – making it ideal for celebratory dinners, as well as long breakfasts than linger through to brunch. If you fancy eating out during your stay, you’ll find a host of lovely gastro pubs in and around the Tadcaster area, or on the way to York. We recommend The Ash Tree Inn or Ye Old Sun Inn for a friendly welcome and great pub food.

SLEEP

Sleeping eight guests in total, you’ll find four delightful bedrooms to choose from – all with their own unique interior, private en-suite bathroom, and storage space suitable for both short and long stays. Downstairs there is a king bedroom with its own en-suite shower and WC – perfect for older guests or those who will benefit from an accessible sleeping space. Upstairs, you will find the luxurious master suite, featuring a high-beamed ceiling, countryside views and a striking copper bath in the private bathroom. On the same floor, there is another elegantly decorated and spacious king bedroom with its own shower room and WC. And finally a cosy twin room, also with its own shower room – perfect for friends sharing or smaller family members. All upstairs bedrooms are also equipped with a Smart TV. PLEASE NOTE: For larger family gatherings, this property sits next to The Fairfax Byre, which sleeps a further six guests. When booked together, both properties create an exceptional space for 14 guests.

RELAX

Haget Barn is a holiday home where true relaxation comes effortlessly. The spacious living area offers you the perfect setting for cosy fireside chats by the log burner, and there is also a Smart TV in front of the large L-shaped sofa – ideal for chilled movie nights after a busy day exploring Yorkshire. Step outside the French doors and you will find a charming private patio with rattan dining furniture for six guests. Lovely in both the summer and the winter, it’s here where you can enjoy al fresco dinners, sunrise coffees, and heart-warming outdoor catch-ups with those you love.

The closest airports are Leeds Bradford Airport and Manchester Airport. From either, you can hire a car or travel by train to York and then continue by taxi.
