On entering this property you will find a kitchen with table for breakfast, a separate bright dining room large enough for all the guests to eat together and a cosy sitting room with fireplace and large windows overlooking the garden, a double bedroom with shower room is also on the ground floor. On the first floor there are two bedrooms (double or twin) and two bathrooms, each with a shower and bath. Outside the property is a garden area overlooking quiet woodlands.
As part of your stay, you’ll have free, exclusive access to England’s largest rewilding estate, over 3,000 acres of woodland, moors and wildflower meadows. Spend time in nature, wandering ancient woodlands, cycling moorland trails, enjoying picnics by the riverside, or try forest bathing and wild swimming. It’s a country getaway like no other. There is a Garden Bistro on the Estate available for guests serving breakfast and lunch Mondays to Fridays weekly. Top Lodge on the Broughton Sanctuary Estate which is just off the A59, 3½ miles away from Skipton with its long, cobbled high street, mix of independent and high street shops, cafés and tea rooms. Stroll along the canal, through the woods or discover Norman history at Skipton Castle.
Within 10 miles drive is Malham with its breathtaking 260ft high limestone cove. If you’re feeling fit, climb the steps to the top where you’ll be rewarded with magnificent views down the dale and be able to see one of the finest examples of limestone pavement in the country, which was also used in a scene from one of the Harry Potter films. Alternative easy walks include Gordale Scar, also a film location for Harry Potter.
For a relaxing day out venture further into the Yorkshire Dales to the picturesque villages of Grassington, 12 miles, and Kettlewell, 5 miles further, calling at Kilnsey Trout Farm on the way and a stop off to watch the climbers hang off Kilnsey Crag. Many walks and cycle routes for all abilities can be found here and all around the area.
The Bull Pub and Restaurant reached via a walk through the estate grounds. Eden provides a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life but will come alive when filled with your family and friends and close to Skipton with lovely restaurants, tea rooms and pubs.
