Primrose Cottage, Near Malton, North Yorkshire

Primrose Cottage is a newly decorated two bedroom cottage in Westow close to Malton and York in the heart of Ryedale.  The cottage is in the centre of Westow and within walking distance of The Blacksmith’s Arms Pub in Westow and a short drive from The Stone Trough Inn at Kirkham Abbey.

Guests enter the cottage into the cosy kitchen, leading through to the sitting room with log burner, smart tv and access to the front garden.  There is a downstairs cloakroom.

The stairs lead up to the first floor with two double bedrooms and a shower room.

• 2 dogs allowed at £40.00 per dog (please enquire if you would like to bring more dogs).
• Starlink Broadband which has 200 mbps download and 7.91 mbps upload.
• Outside the front of the cottage is outdoor seating on the patio.
• Log burner with starter pack of logs provided.
• 2 double bedrooms with superkings that can be made up as superkings or twins (please request on booking).
• Default bed formations will be 2 superkings.
• If bed formations changed within 2 weeks of booking there will be a charge.
• If you wish to eat at The Blacksmith Arms in Westow prior booking is necessary.
• There is parking in the village.

GROUND FLOOR

Guests enter the cottage through the back door, into the pretty cosy kitchen with electric oven, dishwasher and washer/dryer.

Guests go through to the sitting room, which has a front door to the leading out to the front of the cottage with terrace and outdoor seating and grass area in front of the cottage. The sitting room has comfy sofas, a log burner and smart tv. Stairs lead up to the First Floor.

FIRST FLOOR

On the first floor there are 2 superking bedrooms that can be made up as superkings or twins. (please request if twin is required upon booking as the default will be 2 superkings).

There is a Shower Room with tongue & groove panelling and a walk-in shower.

EXTERIOR

The front of the house has a terrace with outdoor seating and grass area in front of the cottage.

Guests enter the cottage to the side of the house into the kitchen.

Westow Village is in the heart of the Ryedale countryside close to Kirkham Priory.

The cottage is within walking distance of  The Blacksmith’s Arms Pub, in the village, and The Stone Trough Inn at Kirkham Abbey is 2 minutes drive.

Local Attractions: Castle Howard 3.8 miles, The Yorkshire Arboretum 4.1 miles, Eden Camp 5.8 miles, Kirkham Abbey is 2 miles away.

Primrose Cottage is located 6 miles from Malton, 15 miles from York, 27 miles from the Yorkshire Coast, 35 miles from Wetherby, 47 miles from Harrogate and 40 miles from Leeds.

The cottage is close to the A64 and A1 in The Vale of York with easy access to The Yorkshire Dales and The North York Moors.

Primrose Cottage is within easy reach of Castle Howard, Harewood House, Scampston Hall and Gardens, Fountains Abbey and Newby Hall and Gardens, Flamingo Land and the seaside towns of Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough.

Malton train station is 6 miles away & York train station is 15 miles away with direct train service to the north and south.

A lovely cottage in a very quiet and peaceful village. Was a great base for visiting York, Malton, Castle Howard and the coast. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped with nice touches such as a bottle of wine on arrival. Highly recommend

Primrose Cottage was a fabulous house and ideal for our stay, in the lovely village of Westow. The house was clean and warm and the bed very comfortable . I would highly recommend it.
