The Games/TV room is next door to the kitchen and this comfortable room features a TV and large L-shaped sofa to snuggle down on. Sky, Amazon Prime Video and Netflix are all available as well as board games and cards for some traditional off-line fun.

Wi-Fi is also available and a Sonos sound system provides the background music throughout the ground floor.

Downstairs is also home to the kitchen and dining areas.  The kitchen is a generous size and comes with everything you could need to conjure family feasts. Take delight in the sleek worktop, made from honed Zimbabwean granite. In addition to the AGA, you’ll find a Smeg cooker with ceramic hob, a huge American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave.

A further utility room provides an additional fridge/freezer, perfect for storing drinks as well an additional dishwasher, very useful the morning after a special dinner. A laundry room on the first floor houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and ceiling-mounted clothes horse.

The property offers you the choice of several different dining areas. For informal occasions like breakfast and lunch, the large farmhouse dining table in the kitchen is perfect. French doors open out onto a courtyard where an afternoon tipple is a must in the warmer months.

Just through from here is the breakfast room, offering a further light-filled space for dining – this is a great option for children, or vice-versa, when you’re looking for a more peaceful dining experience.

For those special occasions when you want to gather everyone together to dine and have fun, the formal dining hall is waiting. A large extendable dining table will accommodate everyone, while flagstone flooring and a wood burner lend grandeur and warmth.

EXTERIOR

The house is set within a beautifully maintained walled garden.

What a beautiful house, just perfect.

Olliver house is a beautiful property and very clearly looked after well by the housekeeper. It was pristine inside on our arrival. The house keeper called me a few days before our stay and helped me allocate bedrooms sensibly in advance according to our groups needs. The house had everything we needed, is in a great spot and we had a fanatic family catch up. Thank you.

We had an excellent time for a 40th birthday party. The house is fantastic – a real treat of a place to stay. We also really appreciated the welcome pack with a great bottle of gin!

Amazing property! Had everything we needed for a group of 16. Every room was perfection, clean and tidy. Communication was also friendly and informative throughout. Highly recommend.

This is a truly beautiful, hospitable, warm house, with plenty of space for guests to both mingle and find somewhere quiet to be. The gardens are just lovely, and the furnishings of the old but beautifully maintained house of high quality, yet comfortable – we felt very much at home here and would love to return!
