Nestled in the grounds of the Broughton Sanctuary Estate, Holly House is a luxury Yorkshire holiday cottage that sleeps up to 10 guests. Beautifully decorated and perfect for families, this is a superb self-catering option for your stay in North Yorkshire. 

EAT

The cottage-style kitchen provides ample space to create home-cooked meals for your group during your stay. There is an informal dining area next to the kitchen and also a small patio outside where you can enjoy morning coffee or a sundowner. You are also able to visit the walled Garden Bistro on the Estate, which is available for breakfast, lunch and supper. The Bull Pub and Restaurant is on the edge of the Estate and can also be booked for meals if you prefer to dine out. 

SLEEP 

Holly House sleeps 10 guests in 4 double bedrooms and 2 single bedrooms with 4 bathrooms. The bedrooms are lovely and bright with beautiful decor and many enjoy beautiful views over the Yorkshire Dales countryside. There is one double bedroom and ensuite on the ground floor, with three double bedrooms, two single bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on the first floor. 

RELAX 

The property has been delightfully furnished to create a cosy & relaxed space for guests to enjoy their time away from home. Whether you are walking, cycling or visiting the nearby towns, you can return to a cosy environment with a lovely, homely feel. Why not also make use of the Broughton Sanctuary during your stay with its indoor swimming pool, yoga, pilates and wellbeing classes – perfect for some well-deserved relaxation.

EXPLORE

During your stay at Holly House, we can help you arrange activities such as clay pigeon shooting, archery, hot air ballooning, fishing and horse riding onsite at the estate. We can also arrange activities at nearby venues (where applicable), such as quad biking, paintballing, golf, sailing, water skiing, shooting and kayaking. Less than half a mile away, and just across the A59, is the main estate of Broughton Hall. Guests are free to wander the vast 3000-acre grounds and discover wildlife including peacocks, roaming sheep and bridges across the river. The Estate provides wonderful walks, cycling trails, wild swimming, sauna, outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and all available for guests use whilst staying at.  

  • 2 dogs allowed at £25 per dog per stay.
  • There is an EV Charger in the car park next to the restaurant and can be used and there is a charge, please enquire once booked for more information. (Please note this is not in the house car park).
  • The restaurant Utopia in the Sanctuary’s Walled Garden is available for guests to eat breakfast and lunch in from Monday to Friday.
  • Outdoor Swimming Pool and tennis court available to book after confirmed booking.
  • Wild Swimming – there is wild swimming available on the Estate and guests will be given information as to where once they have confirmed their booking.
  • Biking and Walking Trails across the Estate.
  • Wellbeing Centre with indoor swimming pool – guests have access to this between 10am and 12pm every day (£20 per person per day).
  • Sweat Lodge and Saunas available on the Estate and more information and timings will be given to guests once they have confirmed a booking.
  • Activities for you and your guests, both at the property and in the surrounding areas. Spa treatments are a firm favourite for those who desire the pampering and indulgence of a luxurious spa in the comfort and privacy of your luxury accommodation. Allow yourself to be transported into a serene sanctuary with a wide range of the treatments available to sooth the body and soul and achieve the ultimate in R & R. (These will be available to book once guests have a confirmed property booking).
  • A wonderful venue for a sporting break whether for groups of friends or family, team building and corporate events.  We offer activities in the grounds of the estate, such as clay pigeon shooting, archery, hot air ballooning, fishing and horse riding. Stairs lead up to first floor with three double bedrooms and 2 single bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

OUTSIDE

The house is on the side of the road/lane and across the road is an enclosed garden for sole use of the house.

Parking is available outside the property.

Holly House is set back from the A59, giving easy access to a main road for exploring this spectacular area of the country. Just 4 miles away is the bustling market town of Skipton, with its cobbled high street and thrice weekly market days. The Norman castle will delight young and old alike and a stroll through Skipton woods at any time of year is a true way to bring your family together. If the weather is inclement then there’s a leisure centre, bowling alley, independent cinema and many cosy bars and restaurants suiting all tastes and budgets. Bolton Abbey, Grassington and even Ilkley can all be reached within 30 minutes’ drive.

If you head along the A59 in the opposite direction you’ll soon be in Lancashire, often overlooked in favour of its neighbour Yorkshire, but boasting some beautiful spots within the Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland, all accessible within 30 minutes’ drive. Shops and restaurants 4 miles, pubs serving food 1 mile.
