Highside Farm is a Stunning house, beautifully decorated, set on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales above the historic market town of Richmond with spectacular views and surrounded by open countryside but also within walking distance of Richmond with all it’s amenities. Newly renovated with large open plan living areas with floor to ceiling windows, allowing light to flood in, and sliding glass doors opening out onto the surrounding terrace the house sleeps up to 22 guests in 9 bedrooms.

The large contemporary space has wooden and stone floors throughout, underfloor heating and a spectacular spiral staircase in the centre of the house leading up to bedrooms on the first and second floors.

The sleek open plan kitchen/living area with silestone worktops and island, two electric ovens, induction hob, microwave, fridge, 2 freezers, 2 dishwashers, coffee machine, instant boiling tap and large oak dining room table provides seating for 22 plus guests.   Large comfy sofas to relax in with wood burner, smart tv, piano and floor to ceiling windows the length of two walls make it a wonderful entertaining area.

The large Sitting room is in the centre of the house with gas log burner, grand piano and floor to ceiling windows with sliding doors along one wall leading out onto the surrounding terrace with outdoor seating and stunning views over the Yorkshire Dales.

There are 8 bedrooms in the main house and a ground floor annex across the courtyard providing accommodation for four of the guests.

The house is perfect for that special celebration whether it is a birthday, anniversary or wedding and if you wish to enquire we do have event planners and caterers who can provide these services.

GROUND FLOOR

Entrance into Hallway leading through to a Galleried Hall and Library with spectacular Spiral Staircase leading up to the First and Second Floor.

6 Steps lead down to the:

Large Living Area with kitchen, dining and sitting area with wooden floors and full height glass windows with doors leading out to the Terrace.

Living Area: With Wood burner, Smart TV, Upright Piano and overlooking the Terrace.

Kitchen/Dining Area:  With long dining table with seating for 22 plus, Island with granite top and breakfast area, double electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge, 2 freezers, 2 dishwashers, coffee machine and instant boiling water tap.

Door with access to the terrace with BBQ, table and benches.

Utility Room: With washing machine and tumble dryer.

Games/Exercise Room: Table Tennis, Treadmill/X trainer, Rowing Machine and a selection of DVDs, CDs and Games.

Separate Sitting Room/Music Room with Grand Piano, gas log-effect fire and large glass windows with sliding doors leading out onto the terrace with wonderful views across the Dales and over Richmond.

Bedroom 1:  With Double Bed and sliding doors to ensuite bathroom with roll top bath with shower attachment, double basin and loo.

Bedroom 2:  With Super King zip and link bed that can be made into 2 single beds, sofas and armchair and large floor to ceiling glass windows with sliding doors leading to the Terrace.

Ensuite Shower Room with basin and loo.

Double Doors lead down six steps to:

Bedroom 3: With Super King bed that can be made into 2 single beds and large floor to ceiling windows on two sides and wonderful views across the Yorkshire Dales.

FIRST FLOOR

Master Bedroom and Bathroom:

From the landing you enter through into a large bathroom with roll top bath, walk in shower, double sink unit, loo, heated towel rail and tiled floor.

This leads through double doors to:

The Master Bedroom: With large Super King Bed and views through large glass floor to ceiling window.

Bedroom 5:  With two single beds and stairs leading up to a mezzanine floor with king sized bed.

Ensuite bathroom with bath with shower head, loo and basin.

Bedroom 6: With King sized Bed.

Bedroom 7: With Double Bed.

Shower Room:  With walk in Shower, loo, heated towel rail and tiled floor.

SECOND FLOOR

Bedroom 8 with open plan Ensuite Shower Room:

With 4 zip and link beds that can either be made up as 2 superking sized beds, 4 singles or one superking and 2 singles, Walk in Shower, basin and loo.

EXTERNAL ANNEX

Bedroom 9:  With 4 zip and link beds that can be made up into 2 super king sized beds on request.

The Local Area

High Leases Farm is set above Richmond a historic market town with cobbled market square and medieval castle.  You will also find wonderful restaurants, shops, cafes and even its own independent cinema.

Just a short drive away are Leyburn, Reeth and Hawes also Yorkshire Dales market towns.  The Yorkshire Dales National Park is a special place with outstanding scenery and a rich cultural heritage.  It is the perfect location if you enjoy walking or cycling with the Tour De Yorkshire/France cycling routes coming through the area.

Both trains are on the direct main line from London and the train takes 2.5 hours from Kings Cross Station.
